Monday Evening Candle Light Class

Most people live life in the fast line and push themselves hard from one experience to the next. When this is done our bodies and minds hold onto stress. Let this class help you turn off the super highway to follow quieter, slower roads into a relaxed week.  This special December series meets three times, practicing yoga and meditation with gong relaxations to the soft glow of candlelight. This class is suitable for both beginners & intermediate students.

Kundalini Yoga for Beginners and Beyond    
Monday Evenings 5:30-7pm
An 11 week course teaching you how to use breath (pranayama), postures,(asana), sound (manta) and meditation to awaken you remind and train your body to experience vitality & calmness. Kundalini Yoga is more than just a great physical workout.  Called the Yoga of Awareness, it is an incredible experience in awakening and raising your consciousness, keeping you young, giving you fullness of heart while healing you on a cellular level. It can give you health, happiness and the ability to commit while building character and stamina. .

Relaxed Mind/ Healthy Body/ Expanded Spirit   
Monday Evenings 7:15-8:30pm
During difficult times, our minds attach to certain thoughts, often ones that do not serve us. Then our bodies hold tension from stress or fear. This class releases tension and kicks up our glandular, nervous, and lymphatic systems to move tight bodies and stuck energy. We free ourselves from stress with an active practice of yoga and meditation that creates stamina, a calm heart, and a feeling of upliftment.  The first class of the each series starts with the basics of Kundalini Yoga.  Beginners and intermediate students are welcome.

NEW!  Meditation For Everyone
Meditation penetrates to the very source of happiness.  It liberates us from the notion that feeling good or bad results from what happens to us.  It replaces that false notion with the understanding that our attitude towards life counts for much more.  Meditation gives us the choice to direct our mind to create peace and happiness no matter what is happening to us.  Meditation frees the mind from restlessness, allowing you to discard obsolete emotional patterns and instead develop calmness, peace of mind and insight.  This class begins with Kundalini Yoga so the body is balanced and then moves into the Kundalini yoga meditations of breath techniques and mantras.    Please bring a thick yoga mat and a pillow if sitting on the floor is uncomfortable.  This class also accommodates people who want to sit on a chair during meditation.

 Mind, Meditation and Kundalini Yoga      Thursdays 5-6:30pm
The purpose of all physical yoga is to prepare for meditation.  Meditation is the process of controlling and transcending the thought waves of the mind, allowing the flow of radiance from the soul.  In this series learn about the meditative mind and practice the yoga and meditations which help us regulate our thoughts, feelings emotions and desires.
