Each class consists of breath work, energetic exercises, gong relaxation, and meditation. The yogic breathing revitalizes the body and helps you to control the mind, leaving you feeling refreshed and revitalized, while the practice of meditation gives increased clarity, balance, and focus.

This 4 week series of Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, gives you the techniques you need to become more peaceful, more prosperous, more bountiful, and more abundant. We have been taught for thousands of years that happiness and prosperity comes from outside ourselves. We spend our time and energy trying to acquire people and things in order to feel good. But in reality, prosperity is a state produced by the mind. When the mind comes out of duality, prosperity is there. These classes help you to start to find that state of mind. Food and beverage can be utilized to gather and harness pranic energy for self-healing. In these 4 yoga classes, we will infuse food or beverages with pranic energy and upon completion, eat or drink to receive the accumulated healing energy. Who said that in yoga, you can't have your cake & eat it too?

What to Bring to Class:

  • Wednesday, October 4th Yoga and Meditation to Increase Prana Your favorite food, even if its chocolate! (You will have to hold it in your hands, so not too messy please) 

  • Wednesday, October 11th Yoga & Meditation for Steadiness and Security Your favorite non-alcoholic beverage (but not too much as you have to drink it all) 

  • Wednesday, October 18th Yoga & Meditation for Healing Energies of the Earth and Ethers Bring a small orange AND banana
     
  • Wednesday, October 25th Yoga and Meditation for Self-Healing You will need either an apple or a banana for the yoga set

Through these three classes start to develop your ability to open to the Unknown through intuition and sensitivity. Our brain has two hemispheres, each one allowing us to understand and comprehend the universe in a completely different way. As Westerners we are well trained in left brain thinking which is logical, linear, deductive and rational. Most of us have little training in the use of the right side of the brain which is intuitive, spatial, and associational. Developing the right hemisphere allows us to transcend time and space and connect us with the subtle realms of existence that connect the material world and its spiritual source. These classes cultivate the gift of intuition and work on developing your sensitivity to hear your inner voice so you can then access your wisdom and meditative mind

This class releases tension and kicks up our glandular, nervous, and lymphatic systems to relax tight bodies and stuck energy. We move from stress to calm with an active practice that creates stamina and an open heart.
