Mind and Meditation
Mind & Meditation, a KRI Level 2 course as taught by Yogi Bhajan®, is intended to illuminate the relationship between you and your mind. Designed for certified Level 1 Kundalini Yoga teachers and dedicated students of Kundalini Yoga, this powerful experience will help you explore how the mind works in relationship to yourself and others. You will begin to integrate fundamental concepts about the nature and dynamics of the mind into your life. Perhaps most important of all, you will deepen your meditative practice. When you conquer your own mind, you can conquer any challenge and master any opportunity.
The type of relationship we create with our mind is essential to our ability to act effectively, to recognize our true nature and to align with our Divine Purpose. Yogi Bhajan taught us the old ways of using the mind are becoming obsolete. The technology presented in Level 2 “Mind & Meditation” addresses the rapid shifts we are experiencing today, individually and as a collective.
In this transformational Kundalini Yoga Level 2 teacher training, we will explore the following themes of Mind and Meditation:
During the training you have time to study, reflect and absorb the concepts presented. You will have time to review information and practice the meditations and kriyas that are given in both the manual and home study guide as well as on the set of DVDs that you receive in the course.
Mind and Meditation is a 50-hour course with classroom hours and independent study. It is an in-depth transformational learning and teaching experience with a well-designed curriculum, manual, and support materials. Mind and Meditation is one of the five modules required for Level 2 certification as a Kundalini Yoga Practitioner.
The course emphasizes carefully chosen meditations, kriyas, and readings. All the information is presented in a highly interactive learning environment. You will explore topics and discuss them with other students in both small and large groups. You will have the opportunity to practice meditations deeply over an extended time. You will test and observe the application of these techniques and attitudes in your life. One highlight of the course is a day of meditation to go deeper into your experience of self. Participants must be Level 1 certified Kundalini Yoga instructors.
This program is based on the comprehensive science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. The Aquarian Teacher program is a journey of your development as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher. There are three levels of certification:
KRI Level Two Module is a Transformational one and is comprised of five modules required for KRI International Level Two Certification. The five modules are: Conscious Communication, Mind & Meditation, Authentic Relationships, LifeCycles & LifeStyles and Vitality & Stress. The 5 modules are to be taken over a minimum of a 2 year period.

Darshan Kaur Khalsa is one of the few "senior teachers" of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. She has been living, breathing and serving the teachings of Kundalini Yoga for 43 years in the greater Washington area. Upon graduation from University, she moved directly into an ashram so she could fully practice a yogic lifestyle. Her training included years of study with Yogi Bhajan, who first brought Kundalini Yoga to the West. Yogi Bhajan personally requested that Darshan Kaur start to train teachers in 1995. She has taught twenty three teacher training certification programs in Virginia, Ohio, and Colorado and is registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level. She is certified as a Level One and Two Lead trainer and since 1973 has taught over 18,000 hours of Kundalini Yoga. From 1990-1996, she served as Program Director of Yogi Bhajan's "Woman In Training Summer Camp" responsible for creating the curriculum and overseeing over 35 classes a week, covering the full spectrum of Yogic teachings and lifestyle. Darshan has been on the faculty of Northern Virginia Community College for 28 years teaching yoga and meditation.
Darshan Kaur has been a student of Yogi Bhajan for over 40 years, and is grateful for the opportunity to be able to share Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan with others. The teachings of Yogi Bhajan have had a profound effect on her life, and it is a joy to her to be able to share these teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. Her vision is for each student to have an experience of consciousness and healing. Through teacher training certification programs she shares yogic and meditative tools for students to be able to live, serve, and prosper in these times of great challenge. Darshan Kaur teaches in level 1 and 2 trainings in Virginia and Ohio. She is also a life coach and practitioner of Sat Nam Rasayan, the healing branch of Kundalini Yoga.
